On June 24, 2011, Rebecca, 17, from Golden Fish Swimming Club Inc was pictured (third from right) receiving her Local Sporting Champions grant.

The grant was presented by Nicola Roxon who is the Federal Minister for Health and Ageing and also the Federal Member for Gellibrand.

The occasion was the opening of the new Sports Science and Learning building at Victoria University. There were two other recipients as well representing athletics and baseball.

The gentleman on the left of the photo is the Vice Chancellor of Victoria University and the gentleman on the right is the Chancellor.   Rebecca chatted with Ms Roxon for quite a while and enjoyed a tour of the new facilities with her.
